An expert in the field of preventive medicine said that COVID-19 cases can be volatile and unstable˳ At the time of transition between seasons, the number of detected COVID-19 cases may increase˳
The cause is that the current symptoms of COVID-19 are similar to other respiratory diseases such as cough, runny nose, fever, etc˳ Therefore, when people have symptoms, they will be tested for COVID-19 and found to be positive˳ leading to an increase in the number of detected cases˳
“The recent weather change is one of the reasons for the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases, when the weather is stable, the number of cases can decrease˳ However, we should not be subjective but need to monitor the variables˳ new strain of COVID-19, ready to take measures to respond when the epidemic changes,” he said˳
Although the number of severe cases and new cases is on a downward trend, the Ministry of Health still assesses that COVID-19 is still unstable and there is still a risk of a new outbreak˳
The World Health Organization (WHO) still recommends that countries continue to monitor the COVID-19 epidemiological situation, and develop research and production of vaccines to meet future use needs˳
