The child’s family said that the child was playing from the back of the house when suddenly heard a loud explosion˳ At the scene, the family found the baby lying on the ground with a bleeding head wound, next to an exploded mini gas cylinder˳ The family took the baby to a nearby hospital˳

After that, the baby was transferred to Children’s Hospital by Binh Phuoc Hospital 2 in a state of anesthesia, pale skin, head wound bleeding profusely with brain tissue bleeding˳

Through examination and imaging studies, the doctors noted a penetrating injury to the skull from the top of the head to the occipital region, contusion and hemorrhage in the brain, and there were many small skull fragments in the brain parenchyma˳ Doctors performed emergency surgery overnight˳

After three hours of surgery, the surgical team cleaned the wound, removed contusions and broken bone fragments in the brain parenchyma˳

Assessing the case, Doctor Doanh said that the baby had a lot of brain damage, so it could affect his motor function later˳

Recently, Children’s Hospital 2 has continuously received similar cases of daily-life accidents, advising parents to pay attention to flammable items, especially mini gas cylinders˳

It is necessary to keep these objects out of reach and always keep an eye on, closely monitor all children’s behavior, ensure safety, especially at the time when the children are on summer break˳
