Thrilling journey to receive hearts

According to Prof˳ Dr˳ Pham Nhu Hiep – director of Hue Central Hospital, the hospital received news of a heart donor at 2:14 pm on 5-7 pm˳ Immediately, the hospital’s organ transplant process system was activated˳ In the evening of the same day, the hospital’s doctors brought the patient’s blood sample to Hanoi for testing˳

Fortunately, the blood samples of Mr˳ G˳ and the organ donor matched˳

The surgical plan to remove the organ begins at 5:20 pm on July 6˳ However, at this time, there is only one last flight from Hanoi to Hue at 19:35 and the surgery time is longer than expected˳ Among the donated organs, the heart was the last to be removed, so doctors in Hue had to wait˳

At this time, the organ transplant team in Hue, especially Mr˳ Pham Nhu Hiep himself, was very worried˳ The hospital even considered the option of flying from Hanoi to Da Nang and then transporting the heart by ambulance to Hue˳

Fortunately, Bamboo Airways understood and decided to wait for the heart to board the plane to Hue˳
