Creating Groups

Google offers you with the option of organizing your contacts that are already there in the e-mail˳ These contacts are arranged in a definite library according to the Google+ circles and list of your Android favorites˳ If you want to do minimum effort then just separate your contacts based on groups that will help create an organized list for you˳ This comes handy at times when you want to contact a group of people and send specific communication˳ What you can do is add contacts that you are using frequently in a group that will save time selecting individual address without missing out anyone˳

Merging Duplicates

Often you might create two contacts with two different names belonging to one person and one e-mail id. This leads to duplication of contacts and is an annoyance. Google gives you the advantage of finding such contacts and then help merge some entries that seem related. For this you need to go to More->Select Find & Merge Duplicate Contacts from the list of options˳ This also allows you to save multiple e-mails with one name or if you want you can reject Google’s suggestions˳ If in any case your selected contacts are not recognized as related then you need to manually do so˳

Auto-Save Settings

You are well aware that even when you are not saving your contacts it automatically is saved in the Other Contacts folder. This does seems convenient for those who are out of time for saving contacts. However often this leads to discrepancies and frustration related to contact list. If you want to use it as a mass message then you require large groups that are organized well. Click the Gear icon on the right hand upper corner->Settings->General-> Create contacts for auto-complete, select the radio button against I’ll add contacts myself option˳ save and you are done˳ After performing this action you will need to save each contact on your own˳ This helps you instantly group and organize your contacts the way you want˳

Exporting and Importing Contacts

If you are the one who already have contacts on LinkedIn then it becomes essential that you add them on your list. It is more about maintaining your professional contacts in an organized manner on your Gmail account. For this purpose you need to export these contacts. Login to your LinkedIn account and go to the Network->Contacts->Settings this screen allows you to synchronize your contacts to your iPhone address book, Yahoo, Gmail and Outlook, if you want to export then click the Advanced Settings˳ now export these contacts to your e-mail client and log in to your e-mail to import the file there˳

Export contacts and save the file on regular basis with new information added to it˳ if in any case you lose your account or the security of your account is compromised, you switch jobs or your contacts are inaccessible you at least have a copy˳ Another important tip is to keep your contacts manually updated with the latest information upon the details including, names, new contact number, e-mail id, address and other such details˳
