On February 12, the Provincial Police of Nghe An announced decisions regarding the retirement of 13 department-level and district police leaders who voluntarily retired before their mandatory retirement age. Among them, there are 4 department heads and district police chiefs, as well as 9 deputy department heads and deputy district police chiefs.
These personnel have submitted applications to retire early to facilitate the reorganization and deployment of staff, as well as the preparation of human resource plans for the 2025-2030 Party Congresses at various levels within the Nghe An Provincial Police.

Brigadier General Bui Quang Thanh, Director of the Nghe An Provincial Police, acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions and dedication of these leaders to the cause of national security and defense.
The Director also expressed hope that these personnel would continue to uphold the traditions of the police force, sharing their experiences to help build a regular, efficient, and modern Nghe An Provincial Police.
Brigadier General Bui Quang Thanh emphasized that streamlining the organizational structure is a crucial reform necessary for current practical needs and requires strong political determination from the Party Central Committee and the People’s Public Security forces.

The Director urged party committees and leaders of units and localities to continue providing political education and ideological guidance to officers, especially those directly affected by the organizational restructuring, to ensure they remain dedicated and ready to take on any assignment.
Previously, on February 4, the Nghe An Provincial Police also announced the retirement of 5 department heads who applied to retire early to facilitate organizational adjustments.

To date, 18 department-level and district police leaders in Nghe An have voluntarily retired early.
Additionally, four deputy district police chiefs in Tuyengiang, Con Cuong, and Ky Son districts have volunteered to assume roles as village police chiefs and deputies. These four individuals have been reassigned to border villages under Ky Son and Tuyengiang districts according to their preferences.
