The Traffic Police Department also noted that traffic congestion in major cities like Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and surrounding areas was effectively managed. No prolonged congestion or severe accidents were reported.
Patrols and Violation Handling
On the 27th day of the lunar month 12, national traffic police forces conducted checks and processed over 7,800 traffic violations. Specifically:
- 74 cars, more than 2,600 motorcycles, and 88 other vehicles were impounded.
- 344 driving licenses were suspended, and over 800 cases had points deducted.
The main violations included:
- Alcohol levels: Over 2,100 cases.
- Speeding: Over 1,800 cases.
- Overloading: 16 cases.
Additionally, surveillance cameras on highways identified 28 violations. Of these, 4 cases were documented by traffic police, and 24 were fined through automated systems.
