On the morning of February 8, Mr. Trinh Van Nha, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thanh Chau District, announced that up to this point, 33 officials and civil servants from the district have voluntarily submitted applications to retire early.
Among them is the Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, as well as 32 officers from merged communes, many of whom hold key positions such as Secretary of Thanh Linh Commune Party Committee, Chairmen of Thanh Linh and Thanh Khe Commune People’s Committees…
Several cases involve individuals applying for retirement 4-6 years before reaching the mandatory retirement age.

The Organization Committee of the District Party Committee and the Office of Internal Affairs of Thanh Chau District are compiling a list and guiding the implementation of policies and regulations for officials, civil servants, employees, and workers retiring according to Government Decree 178/2024/ND-CP.
“Previously, following directives from higher authorities, the district has been promoting awareness about the policy of streamlining redundant staff and reducing bureaucracy. Many key officials have understood and voluntarily applied for early retirement, creating conditions for the restructuring of organizational structures in departments, bureaus, and merged communes,” said Mr. Nha.
