In the Vietnamese King episode themed Nảy, broadcast on February 7, Ms. Vo Thi Thu Hien (originally from Ha Tinh, now living and working in Hanoi) emerged victorious in round 4 and claimed the challenge ring, securing her seat as the reigning “King” of the show.

Although Ms. Hien was not the most prominent contestant in each round, her calm and confident demeanor helped her overcome the program’s toughest challenge—a series of increasingly difficult word-finding puzzles.
When given the choice between accepting a cash prize of 30 million VND and claiming the challenge ring to compete for an even higher prize in the next episode, she shared, “It has been a while since there was a real contender for the ‘Vietnamese King’ throne, so I am determined to take the challenge ring and continue participating in the exciting challenges.”
Her twin sons, who registered her for the show and cheered her on throughout the competition, were the driving force behind her victory. They hoped to see their mother on television during the first Spring of the Year of the Cat.
The next episode of Vietnamese King season 3 will air on February 14 on VTV3, with the theme Thơm.
In April 2024, contestant Do Viet Hung also triumphed as the “Vietnamese King,” winning a grand prize of 320 million VND after four intense and dramatic confrontations with his opponents.
After securing 160 million VND in round 3, Viet Hung stated that he had come to the show to test himself. Consequently, he decided to play to the fullest, even if it meant losing everything.

As the youngest-ever “Vietnamese King,” Viet Hung expressed his joy, saying, “I’m very happy to have won the Vietnamese King contest. I was surprised by the prize amount.
I plan to use the money for my studies. I hope to participate in Olympia and will purchase additional study materials to prepare for the competition.”
