On November 6, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health announced that the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Nhuan Ward officially launched and called for participation in the “Synchronized Dưỡng Sinh Performance for Community Health” program.
This program aims to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 – November 18, 2025), and also serves as one of the activities celebrating the Institute’s 50th anniversary (December 24, 1975 – December 24, 2025).
The program is scheduled to take place from 5:00 AM to 7:30 AM on November 16, at Phu Nhuan Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City).
During the launching ceremony, the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy guided participants through warm-up exercises and 7 main standing postures, designed to be suitable for the community, allowing people to easily perform them daily for about 15 minutes.
These movements are based on the 63 Dưỡng Sinh exercises from the “Dưỡng Sinh Method” work by the late Minister of Health, Nguyễn Văn Hưởng, who laid the foundation for Vietnam’s modern Dưỡng Sinh movement.

The set of movements is likened to a “symphony of the body,” mimicking natural, harmonious human movements. Regular practice helps blood circulation, improves joint flexibility, and brings suppleness to the body as well as a relaxed and clear mind.
Dr. Hồ Văn Hân, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy, stated that practicing Dưỡng Sinh is the most natural way to nourish health, enhance physical strength, prevent diseases, treat chronic illnesses, and live a long, healthy life.
“Through the Synchronized Dưỡng Sinh Performance program, we hope to spread the spirit of ‘Practicing Dưỡng Sinh Together – Staying Healthy Together,’ helping each person proactively train and improve their physical and mental health,” said Dr. Hồ Văn Hân.
Within the framework of the program, the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy also coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Nhuan Ward to call for contributions and support for people affected by typhoons and floods, through officially recognized donation accounts.
The Synchronized Performance program is organized amidst the national health sector actively implementing Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo on solutions to strengthen public health protection, care, and improvement.
This includes the goal of enhancing the physical, intellectual, stature, and healthy lifespan of the population by 2030; increasing the proportion of people regularly participating in physical activities by 10%; achieving an average life expectancy of 75.5 years, with a minimum healthy lifespan of 68 years.
Also part of the effort to realize Resolution 72-NQ/TW through practical actions, starting from November, the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy will organize free therapeutic Dưỡng Sinh classes for residents of Ho Chi Minh City.
