Rider – Delivering to the Dead, a Thai horror-comedy-romance film, has officially premiered for Vietnamese audiences. The movie revolves around the lives of delivery drivers, focusing on the trio Nat, Yod, and Kai, who accidentally become couriers for the afterlife.
Alongside humorous situations, the romantic relationship between Nat and Pie – the phone repair shop owner – brings many touching moments. This relationship also serves as the key to uncovering a series of spiritual mysteries.

Directed by Nitivat Cholvanichsiri, known for several popular Thai films, the movie features an all-star cast including Mario Maurer (famous for Pee Mak and The Love of Siam) and Freen Sarocha Chankimha (notable for her role in Gap: The Series).
Notably, the Vietnamese dubbed version includes contributions from renowned artists such as People’s Artist Hồng Vân, Mạc Văn Khoa, Võ Tấn Phát, Huỳnh Thanh Trực, and others.
At the film’s premiere, Mạc Văn Khoa shared that this was his first attempt at voice acting. Despite facing numerous challenges, he felt fortunate to learn more about vocal performance. He admitted feeling some pressure being the only actor with a Hải Dương accent in the movie.
“Previously, I starred in the horror-comedy Lật mặt: Nhà có khách, so I somewhat understand the rhythm and proper intonation. Even though I’m just contributing my voice, I still feel excited and nostalgic about cinema,” the actor expressed.

Regarding his payment, Mạc Văn Khoa revealed that he received fair compensation for his efforts. However, for Rider – Delivering to the Dead, he mainly agreed to participate out of gratitude to director Vũ Thành Vinh, who helped him shine on the show Cười Xuyên Việt.
“Director Vinh has greatly contributed to where I am today, so when he asked, I immediately accepted without considering the fee,” the actor shared.
