At approximately 1:10 PM on February 15, a Daewoo Lanos sedan with license plate 38H-49.xx (driver yet to be identified) was traveling along National Highway 15A from Huong Khe District towards Ha Tinh City, Ha Tinh Province.
Upon reaching the territory of Ha Linh Commune, Huong Khe District, the car collided with a motorcycle bearing license plate 38P1-95.xx driven by Mrs. N.T.Đ. (58 years old, residing in Phuc Dong Commune, Huong Khe), who was carrying her 7-year-old grandson, P.V.Đ.K.

According to Mr. Bui Ngoc Du, Chairman of Ha Linh Commune’s People’s Committee, the forceful collision caused the child, K., to die instantly at the scene. The grandmother sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the hospital by local residents but also succumbed to her injuries.
At the crash site, the front end of the car was heavily damaged and had veered off to the left side of its direction of travel, coming to rest on the roadside. The motorcycle was found in pieces, severely deformed, lying in front of the car.
After receiving reports, traffic police arrived at the scene to manage traffic flow and investigate the cause of the accident.
