Since her debut, Dara (2NE1) has always made a mark with her bold and unique image as a singer, expressed through everything from her hairstyles to her fashion sense. Additionally, she is a “sneakerhead” (a term for sneaker enthusiasts), owning an impressive collection of sneakers.
On February 14, the 2NE1 group arrived in Ho Chi Minh City, preparing for two nights of the Welcome Back concert. Not long ago, Dara shared some of her initial activities in Vietnam on her personal social media.
She wore a plain short-sleeved top paired with wide-leg cargo pants. On her feet, the singer sported the Converse x Stussy Chuck 70 Snakeskin sneakers. This model was launched in October 2024 and currently retails for £100 (over $125). The upper part of the shoe is covered with a snake skin-patterned leather (Photo: IGNV, Converse).
In early February, the 2NE1 member posted a series of photos capturing her travels between tour locations, including a shot of the iconic Nike Air Jordan 3 Retro OG Black Cement sneakers. The AJ3 features elephant print patterns on the front and back. A cement gray overlay wraps around the collar and lacing system, while fiery red accents highlight the tongue and eyelets (Photo: IGNV).
First released in 1988, this colorway has become a symbol within the sneaker community. Moreover, Black Cement is one of the most timeless designs in the entire Jordan brand lineup. This colorway is no longer available on the official Nike website (Photo: Nike).
During her performance in Bangkok, Thailand, at the end of January, Dara wore the “Hank” OG Sole Canvas Low-top sneakers from the Japanese luxury fashion house Mihara Yasuhiro. Currently, these sneakers retail for 37,000 yen (approximately $260). The singer paired the standout blue sneakers with elephant-print pants and layered outfits. In Vietnam, singer Sơn Tùng M-TP was also spotted wearing a similar pair but in red (Photo: IGNV, Mihara Yasuhiro).
The 2NE1 member also showed off her Maison Mihara Yasuhiro Wayne OG Sole Leather Low-top sneakers in mustard yellow. This colorway is no longer available on the brand’s website, while other versions retail for 42,000 yen (approximately $300). In the photo series, Dara also shared a close-up of the Chrome Hearts x UGG Suede Snow Boots (Photo: IGNV).
Dara is also a fan of the Rick Owens brand. She once showcased her high-top Jumbo Laced Geobasket sneakers in yellow, worn during her tour in Malaysia. Besides the lemon-yellow overlay, the shoes feature thick laces as a unique design element. To own this pair, buyers would need to spend at least $1,112 (over $28,200) on resale platforms (Photo: IGNV).
Dara’s style often features bold hairstyles like updos or spiky looks. In this photo, she pairs a metallic mini skirt and fur coat with Rick Owens’ high-top Pony Hair Geobasket sneakers in pink. On the resale platform SVRN, this model was listed for over $33,000 but is now sold out (Photo: IGNV, SVRN).
Still sticking to the Geobasket line, Dara also owns a black leather version. This model currently retails for $615 (approximately $15,500) (Photo: IGNV).
At the end of December 2024, the singer born in 1984 shared photos of her Nike Air Jordan 1 Brooklyn sneakers on social media. The sneakers have a unique design, fully covered in black. While retaining the classic AJ1 silhouette, they feature a chunky sole with ridges. This model is currently priced at over $4,800 (Photo: IGNV, Nike).
In a backstage photo, Dara poses in a graphic white T-shirt, ripped jeans, and Nike SB Dunk Low x Verdy sneakers. These sneakers stand out with their “furry” appearance, inspired by Japanese artist Verdy’s famous plush toy, Visty Plush Doll. Featuring pastel tones and materials like faux fur and velvet, these sneakers are a true work of art (Photo: IGNV, nikesb).
In a series of airport photos, Dara didn’t forget to capture the boots she wore. In the photo, the singer pairs a blue outfit with Timberland’s Premium 6-inch Lace Up Waterproof Boots. The upper part of the boots is made of premium leather with waterproof features. Currently, this model retails for nearly $2,500 (Photo: IGNV).
In 2022, the singer posted a video showcasing her sneaker collection. In it, Dara revealed a storage unit filled with limited-edition sneakers. “I’ve put the most effort into my sneaker collection. These are all Nikes, but in reality, I have 5-6 times more shoes at home,” she said. Additionally, Dara owns exclusive collaborations, such as Off-White x Travis Scott sneakers and a highly limited edition created by G-Dragon (Big Bang) for close friends (Photo: KBizoom).
