Miss International is one of the six largest beauty pageants in the world, held annually in Japan. The reigning Miss International is currently Vietnamese beauty – Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy.

In recent days, Kieu Duy has been in Japan to participate in official activities. The Vietnamese representative is noted for maintaining stable performance and a polished image, but has yet to make a groundbreaking impression.
In the semi-final night, contestants competed in three important segments: Evening Gown, Swimsuit, and Closed-door Interview.
For the evening gown segment, Kieu Duy chose the Gao Trang (White Rice) design, featuring a halter neck silhouette that subtly revealed her shoulders and chest. Her straight, side-parted hair created a modern and alluring overall look. The gown’s bodice was adorned with crystals and pearls, creating a sparkling reflective effect with movement.
In the swimsuit segment, the Vietnamese beauty continued to impress with her well-proportioned physique. She wore a white bikini with embellished details at the bust as a highlight, demonstrating her confident stage presence.

In the closed-door interview, Kieu Duy began with greetings in Japanese and Vietnamese. She quoted the proverb “One tree doesn’t make a mountain, three trees make a high mountain” (Một cây làm chẳng nên non, ba cây chụm lại nên hòn núi cao), emphasizing the spirit of solidarity and the value of small actions when combined.
She shared: “Coming to Japan, I have experienced the culture, cuisine, and the warmth of its people. We come from different cultures but share a common goal, working together to make the world a better place through love and cultural values.”
Despite her professional and friendly appearance, Kieu Duy was not highly rated by international pageant specialists. Beauty website Missosology did not include Vietnam in its top 20 predictions.

According to Missosology, the most prominent candidate for this year’s crown is the contestant from Spain. Representatives from India, the Czech Republic, Peru, and Angola were also among those highly regarded.
Before departing for Japan, Nguyen Ngoc Kieu Duy expressed her determination: “I understand that no path is paved with roses. Every step requires effort and perseverance. I cherish every expectation, every belief everyone has in me, and I will try my best to be worthy of that affection.
With the desire to promote the beauty of ethnic culture and the youthfulness of Vietnam to international friends, I want to present a polished, confident, and resilient image of Vietnamese women at Miss International 2025.”
The Miss International 2025 final will take place on November 27 in Japan.
