The Drug Administration of Vietnam (DAV) reported that, after a review, as of November 17, 162 products from MK Skincare Cosmetics Production, Trading, Service, Import-Export Co., Ltd. (part of the Mailisa ecosystem) had been granted product announcement certificates by the agency, with 81 of these certificates still valid.
Following media reports suggesting that certain cosmetic products under the Doctor Magic, Maika Beauty, and MK brands, imported and distributed by MK Skincare, show signs of false advertising, contain misleading information, and pose potential health risks to consumers, the Drug Administration of Vietnam (DAV) has requested provincial Departments of Health to intensify efforts in sampling and testing products imported by the aforementioned company.

Among the 162 imported products from the company, priority should be given to sampling and testing skin-whitening products, sunscreens, and cosmetics with labels or instructions for use by pregnant women and children.
The Drug Administration of Vietnam (DAV) also requested the National Institute of Drug Quality Control and the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Drug Quality Control to increase sampling of products from the aforementioned brands for testing, and to report on the test results and sample quantities.
Across various platforms, Doctor Magic brand cosmetic products are widely promoted by Mailisa, claiming benefits such as supporting skin surface regeneration, contributing to bright and smooth skin, and maintaining natural elasticity; assisting in deep cleansing, promoting clear pores, and reducing blockages; aiding in exfoliation for bright and smooth skin; and helping to reduce hyperpigmentation, brown spots, and even out skin tone.
The Drug Administration of Vietnam (DAV) also requested the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to inspect MK Skincare Cosmetics Production, Trading, Service, Import-Export Co., Ltd. within its jurisdiction regarding compliance with legal regulations on cosmetic management in its import, business, and advertising activities; and to handle and penalize violations according to current regulations.
Furthermore, the Drug Administration of Vietnam (DAV) requested MK Skincare Cosmetics Production, Trading, Service, Import-Export Co., Ltd. to submit Product Information Files for the 162 cosmetic products for which the company is responsible for marketing, to the DAV by November 21.
