Against the weaker Singaporean side, U17 Vietnam completely dominated. It took little effort for coach Cristiano Roland’s team to open the scoring in the 4th minute, with a goal from Le Trong Dai Nhan.
Before the first half concluded, U17 Vietnam was already leading 3-0. The other two goals for U17 Vietnam in the first half were scored by Le Sy Bach in the 25th minute and Nguyen Minh Thuy in the 38th minute.
In the second half, U17 Vietnam continued to press and scored more goals. In the 64th minute, Chu Ngoc Nguyen Luc extended the lead to 4-0 for the home team.
In the 68th minute, Manh Quan successfully converted a penalty, increasing U17 Vietnam’s lead to 5-0. Not stopping there, about a minute before the match ended, Manh Quan scored his second goal of the match, sealing a 6-0 victory for U17 Vietnam.
Despite the comprehensive victory, U17 Vietnam is temporarily in second place in Group C. Coach Roland’s team has 3 points, level with group leaders Malaysia, but trails due to an inferior goal difference.
In other Group C matches played today, U17 Malaysia defeated the Northern Mariana Islands 13-0. Meanwhile, U17 Hong Kong (China) beat U17 Macau (China) 2-0.
