Asia Life Corporation (located at 18/99 Nguyễn Văn Linh, Ea Tu Commune, Buôn Ma Thuột City) has been fined over $6,000 by the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee for numerous food safety violations. This penalty stems from issues related to the production and sale of Kera candy.

Serious Food Safety Violations

The Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee’s penalty decision cites significant violations of food safety regulations by Asia Life Corporation, including:

  • Insufficient temperature and humidity controls: The company failed to adequately monitor temperature and humidity levels in storage and warehousing areas.
  • HACCP system inadequacies: While an Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) system was in place, it was not fully implemented.
  • Non-compliant product manufacturing: The “Supergreens Gummies” dietary supplement did not meet published standards.
  • Exceeding permitted additives: The company used more additives than allowed in published standards for processed foods.

Consequences and Remedial Actions

As a result of these violations, the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee imposed the following penalties:

  • 2-month production suspension: This measure aims to prevent further production and distribution of substandard products.
  • Recall and destruction of products: 4,080 units of “Supergreens Gummies” dietary supplements were recalled and scheduled for destruction. 2,080 units had already been sold to Chi Em Rot Corporation, and 2,000 were still in stock.
  • Destruction timeline: The destruction process must be completed within 20 days of the decision, with oversight from the Dak Lak Department of Health and local authorities.

Counterfeit Goods Case Filed

Simultaneously, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Public Security initiated a case of counterfeit goods production involving Asia Life Corporation, Chi Em Rot Corporation, and associated individuals, including Phạm Quang Linh (Quang Linh Vlogs) and Nguyễn Thị Thái Hằng (Hằng Du mục) and three accomplices. The incident also led to Hoa hậu Nguyễn Thúc Thùy Tiên’s temporary travel ban for verification purposes.
