Tragic Road Accident Claims Mother and Child’s Lives

A heartbreaking road accident claimed the lives of a mother and her child on Hoang Cam Street in Thu Duc City on April 10th. The incident caused significant traffic congestion and immense sorrow for the community.

Around 7:30 PM, a serious accident occurred at the intersection of Hoang Cam Street (the former National Highway 1K) and Street 5 in Linh Xuan Ward, Thu Duc City. A truck with license plate 61H-018.xx, traveling towards the Linh Xuan overpass and heading to Binh Duong, collided with a motorbike from Ca Mau province, driven by a woman and carrying a young boy.

The forceful impact caused the motorcyclist and child to fall onto the road, where they were struck by the truck’s tires, succumbing to their injuries instantly.

The accident scene was deeply distressing. The child’s body was found behind the truck, and the mother’s body lay beneath the truck. The motorbike was also crushed underneath. The incident led to severe traffic congestion for several hours.

Ho Chi Minh City police and the Binh Triệu Traffic Police unit arrived at the scene to investigate the cause of the accident and conduct autopsies. A woman, apparently an acquaintance of the victims, also attended the scene. According to preliminary information, the victims were a mother and child residing near the acquaintance’s home. Authorities are actively working to identify the victims and contact their family members.
