Doãn Quốc Đam publicly apologized following his appearance in a Cilonmum milk advertisement, a product associated with a recent investigation regarding counterfeit milk production.

In his statement, Doãn Quốc Đam expressed regret to consumers potentially affected by the advertisement.
“I understand my responsibility to clarify the situation, despite not intending for this issue to occur,” he wrote.
The actor explained that the advertisement was filmed two years prior, drawing inspiration from his role as Thành in the 2023 television series, Gia đình mình vui bất thình lình.
“The woman in the video, named Hà, is the character’s wife, and the child is a child actor playing my character’s son. Their relationship in the video is purely for the advertisement’s storyline. At the time, the brand drew inspiration from the positive reception of the television series,” he stated.
He further stated that he adheres to a strict principle of not using personal imagery for commercial gain. The actor emphasized that the image usage agreement allowed for a one-month period of advertisement.
However, the advertisement continued circulating online beyond this period, violating the terms of the agreement.
According to Doãn Quốc Đam, he received all necessary legal documents, including quality certificates, product statements, and advertisements approved by relevant authorities, before accepting the role.
The actor, born in 1988, clarified that he did not make any statements in the advertisement encouraging product purchases. He would have declined the role if the script had contained such elements.
Previously, in the advertisement for Cilonmum Colos IQ Grow 24h milk, aimed at children aged 1-15, Doãn Quốc Đam shared that he and his wife had researched the product extensively before using it on their child.
He highlighted the milk as a top-selling brand with positive feedback from parents.
Doãn Quốc Đam also praised the manufacturer’s FDA certification for safe production practices, advanced technology, and innovative production processes.
Furthermore, he highlighted the milk’s unique ingredients, including colostrum, 2’FL HMO (boosting immunity and gut health), Aquamin F (organic calcium), and a combination of nuts like walnuts, macadamia nuts, and swallow nest extract.
“After using the milk, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised by my child’s increased focus during activities, improved health, and a 3cm height gain. I’ve shared this with many friends and colleagues, and everyone has expressed approval,” Doãn Quốc Đam stated in the advertisement.
