A man attempting suicide by jumping from the Phú Xuân bridge into the Hương River in Hue was successfully rescued on April 9th.
Hue City Police dispatched personnel and vehicles to the scene. After jumping into the Hương River, the man clung to the base of the Phú Xuân bridge. While some citizens tried to help, they were unable to pull him to safety.

Thanks to the quick and professional response of the authorities, the man was safely brought ashore.
According to police, the victim was identified as Mr. H.V.M. (born 1975), residing in Thuận An Ward, Thuận Hóa District, Hue City.
The swift and effective rescue prevented a potential tragedy. It is hoped that those struggling with mental health and contemplating suicide will reach out for help from loved ones and relevant authorities.
