On January 24, the Traffic Police Department of Quang Binh Province’s Public Security Office issued an administrative violation notice to truck driver Mr. N.T.T. (54 years old) from Quang Tho Ward, Ba Don Town, Quang Binh Province, for driving against traffic on National Highway 1A. His actions resulted in a fine of 19 million VND ($825) and a deduction of 4 points from his driving license.

According to official information, around 9 AM on January 22, Mr. T. was driving a truck with license plate 73H-07xx against traffic on National Highway 1A, near Quang Tho Ward, Ba Don Town. This violation was captured by a dashcam mounted on a civilian’s vehicle. After verifying the footage, authorities summoned Mr. T. for questioning.
During the interview, Mr. T. admitted to the violation, stating that despite seeing the no-entry sign, he proceeded to drive against traffic due to carelessness. Such behavior not only severely breaches traffic safety regulations but also poses significant risks to other road users.
The strict penalty imposed on Mr. T. serves as a deterrent and aims to enhance drivers’ awareness of traffic laws. Additionally, it sends a strong message from authorities about the importance of adhering to traffic safety regulations to ensure the safety of all road users.
