On January 25, the Traffic Police Department of Hanoi reported that from early morning, traffic police forces had implemented synchronized traffic management plans at key intersections across the city, particularly at southern gateways such as the Giai Phong area, Giap Bat Bus Station, and Route 3. Thanks to the efforts of the authorities, intra-city traffic in Hanoi was busy but did not experience any significant congestion.

According to the Traffic Police Department of Hanoi, traffic at the Giai Phong路段 through Giap Bat Bus Station was heavy but stable due to the regulation by traffic police. Southbound routes also saw an increase in traffic during peak hours, but no severe congestion occurred. Vehicles followed the instructions of the authorities, ensuring safety and smoothness.
Effective Traffic Management at Key Routes
The Traffic Police Department of Hanoi stated that they had mobilized maximum resources, organized traffic flow, and conducted mobile patrols to promptly resolve traffic incidents on the routes. In particular, at the ramps on Route 3, traffic police were densely deployed to guide vehicles and minimize congestion risks.

On the Phap Van – Cau Gie expressway, the Highway Traffic Police coordinated with Team 14 (Traffic Police Department of Hanoi) to deploy patrol teams to ensure safe and smooth traffic. Despite the high volume of vehicles, traffic conditions remained under control, with no serious incidents reported.
Surveillance Cameras Support Traffic Management
The Traffic Police Department of Hanoi also emphasized the role of the integrated traffic surveillance cameras at command centers. This system has been instrumental in managing, directing, and regulating traffic. At the Traffic Command Center of the Highway Traffic Police (Ministry of Public Security), the Traffic Command Center of Hanoi Public Security, and the Traffic Command Center of the Traffic Police Department of Hanoi, officers continuously monitor and update traffic conditions through the “all-seeing eyes,” ensuring timely responses to any developments on the roads.

Deployment of Motorcycles for Patrols on Highways
On January 25, Senior Colonel Nguyen Manh Thang, Head of Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 3 (Team 3, Highway Traffic Police), reported that his unit had deployed 15 motorcycles along the Phap Van – Cau Gie – Cao Bo – Mai Son – National Highway 45 route to promptly address incidents and congestion. Each motorcycle is equipped with one traffic police officer and one mobile police officer, patrolling the emergency lane of the highway.

Colonel Thang informed that from last night until 9 AM, traffic on the Phap Van – Cau Gie expressway became busy and congested, but no accidents causing localized congestion were reported. Vehicles continued to move normally. The authorities will remind and require drivers who intentionally enter the emergency lane to follow the correct lanes or handle traffic accidents and vehicle breakdowns.
These efforts by the traffic police not only ensured that intra-city traffic in Hanoi remained largely smooth but also maintained steady flow on key gateways and vital highways. This clearly demonstrates the dedication and readiness of the authorities to serve the public during the end-of-year peak period.
