On February 3, 2025, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting of the Government’s Standing Committee to evaluate the Tet holiday and outline key tasks for the post-holiday period. The meeting took place amid a nationwide celebration of the extended Tet holiday, marked by many positive developments.

Traffic Safety Improvements During Tet At Ty 2025

According to reports from the meeting, during this year’s Tet holiday, there were 411 traffic accidents nationwide, resulting in 191 fatalities and 354 injuries. Compared to the same period last year, the number of accidents, deaths, and injuries all decreased by 38% to 40%. This is a welcome sign, reflecting the effectiveness of Decree 168 in enhancing road safety.

In addition to reducing traffic accidents, Tet At Ty 2025 saw several other notable achievements:

  • Social Welfare Ensured: Workers’ Tet bonuses increased significantly compared to previous years. Statistics show that the average monthly salary in 2024 reached nearly 9 million VND, up from the previous year. The average Tet bonus this year was 7.72 million VND per person, 13% higher than the previous year.
  • Healthcare and Disease Prevention: Health care services, disease prevention, and food safety were well managed. No major outbreaks occurred during the holiday.
  • Civilized and Healthy Festivals: The Prime Minister emphasized the need to organize post-Tet festivals safely, avoiding superstitions and wasteful practices.

At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh outlined key tasks to be prioritized immediately after the holiday:

  • Accelerate Strategic Infrastructure Projects: Continue to complete ongoing projects such as railways and nuclear power plants, and prepare for new initiatives.
  • Prepare Content for the National Assembly Session: Ministries and sectors must collaborate closely to finalize reports and proposals for the upcoming session.
  • Enhance Administrative Discipline: The Prime Minister called on government members to maintain a “finish what you start” attitude, committing to high-efficiency task completion.
