Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính has issued Directive No. 06 to care for and support workers on key construction sites during the Tet holiday of the Year of the Rabbit in 2025. This directive aims to ensure that all workers have a full and meaningful Tet.
Operations on Key Construction Sites
During Tet, thousands of officials, workers, and laborers continue their hard work on national-level projects. Notable projects include the Long Thành International Airport, Terminal 3 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Noi Bai International Airport Terminal, as well as key highway projects like the North-South Expressway East Route, Hau Giang – Ca Mau, and Chau Doc – Can Tho – Soc Trang. These projects are being carried out with high determination.

To ensure a proper Tet for all workers, the Prime Minister requires local authorities, enterprises, project owners, and contractors to take proactive measures to care for workers’ lives, pay salaries and bonuses according to regulations, and on time. It is particularly important to ensure no one feels isolated or lacks funds for Tet.

The government leadership emphasizes the need to review and understand the living conditions of workers, especially those who are policy beneficiaries or in difficult circumstances. Functional agencies should organize visits and gift-giving to the right recipients, ensuring transparency and fairness so that all vulnerable groups receive support before Tet.
Role of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs
The Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs is tasked with leading and coordinating with relevant ministries and sectors to monitor and guide the implementation of social welfare policies for workers. Additionally, they must strengthen inspections and supervision of salary and bonus payments at units and enterprises.
