At 10 AM, reporters from Dan Tri observed hundreds of vehicles lined up in a queue stretching about 2km on National Highway 1K, from Dong Hoa Market to the My Phuoc Tan Van intersection. Intense Traffic Congestion on My Phuoc Tan Van Road
On the My Phuoc Tan Van road, traffic jams were even more severe, with thousands of vehicles forming a long line about 6km from the railway overpass to the Tan Van junction. Residents reported this issue had persisted for about three days. At the My Phuoc Tan Van – National Highway 1K intersection, traffic was chaotic due to conflicts between left-turning and straight-going vehicles. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thinh (38 years old, from Quang Nam) lamented being stuck during restricted hours on the My Phuoc Tan Van route. He mentioned that his truck, fully loaded at 9 AM from the Mieu Ong Cu intersection, still hadn’t reached Tan Van Junction by 11:30 AM. Normally, it would take only two hours to cover most of Dong Nai Province and head towards the Central Highlands.

A traffic police officer noted that National Highway 1K rarely experiences traffic jams unless there is an accident. With the end-of-year peak in travel and cargo transport, the influx of vehicles led to cascading traffic jams across interconnected roads.
