While on maternity leave, Ms. Phan Thi Huyen Nga (32 years old, from Hung Yen) continues her daily routine of taking care of her child and tidying up the house. In a moment of inspiration, this breastfeeding mom let out a sweet, powerful voice in song.
Working away from home, Mr. Vu Dinh Dat (35 years old, Nga’s husband) accidentally turned on the camera and captured his wife’s adorable moment. He filmed it and posted it on social media.

“I have the habit of checking the camera to see what my wife and child are doing at home. Seeing my wife sing spontaneously was so cute, I decided to post the clip online as a keepsake. To my surprise, it gained over a million views and tens of thousands of likes,” Mr. Dat shared.
When Mr. Dat uploaded the video to TikTok, many were taken aback. Some even doubted that the woman was lip-syncing, finding it hard to believe that a breastfeeding mom could have such a captivating voice.
“At first, many people didn’t believe it was my wife’s real voice and thought it was staged content. However, on my personal TikTok channel, I’ve uploaded dozens of videos showing my wife singing naturally while doing household chores,” the husband explained.
Mr. and Mrs. Dat are both factory workers living and working in Khoai Chau District, Hung Yen. Ms. Nga is currently on maternity leave since her baby is only six months old.
“Ever since I was young, I’ve been passionate about singing. However, due to my shy nature, I rarely performed in front of crowds. It wasn’t until I started working that I joined company cultural activities and received praise from colleagues.
The first time people heard me sing, they guessed I was a trained singer or a professional. But in reality, I’ve never taken any formal vocal training,” the mother of three shared.
Towards the end of 2024, Mr. Dat began recording his wife’s spontaneous moments of singing while doing housework, even cutting clips from their home surveillance cameras and posting them on TikTok. Unexpectedly, these simple images became a social media sensation.
Receiving much praise from the online community, Ms. Nga felt incredibly happy. She was particularly surprised to learn that her videos had become an inspiration for other breastfeeding moms.
“Many young mothers shared that after watching my videos, they felt more relaxed and found new motivation to care for their children. Some even asked me for tips on staying optimistic,” Ms. Nga said.

Many people encouraged Ms. Nga to participate in singing competitions, but she said she has never considered it.
“For me, the most important thing now is taking care of my family and raising my children. Pursuing a professional singing career requires many factors like age, voice, appearance—things I don’t feel suitable for.
Moreover, this is a precious time when I can be with my child day and night, so I try to enjoy every moment and shower them with love during these early months,” the 32-year-old mother shared.
Ms. Nga expressed that the most fortunate thing in this period is having a supportive husband who understands her. Despite working different shifts, they share household responsibilities and take turns caring for their child.
