Singer Wu Cát Tường recently surprised everyone by publicly announcing her engagement to her dancer partner Thu Trang after five years of dating. In the photo, the 1992-born singer is seen holding hands with her partner, proudly displaying her engagement ring amidst a romantic setting at Ngọa Long Peak in Ninh Bình. This was also the first time Wu introduced her partner to the public.
According to Wu Cát Tường, during a trekking trip at Ngọa Long Peak, she planned the proposal. As her partner admired the scenery, Wu knelt down but was too emotional to speak, bursting into tears instead. “I decided to propose because after five years together, I feel that she is the one I want to spend my life with. I want to build a small family with her,” Wu expressed.
Earlier, in July 2022, Wu Cát Tường had already come out about her sexual orientation and expressed her desire to “wear a suit and marry a woman.” The 1992-born singer shared that she did not want to hide who she truly is but had previously faced many fears. “If I don’t live authentically before turning 30, it will be very difficult,” she said.
By February 2023, during a performance in Da Lat, Wu Cát Tường revealed for the first time that she was in a relationship and mentioned that her partner was present at the event. In March of the same year, she officially appeared alongside her partner in a YouTube video, capturing moments of them trekking in Lao Cai. The couple enjoyed the moonlight, warmed up by a campfire, and shared intimate conversations.
Wu Cát Tường affectionately calls her partner “Bí Đỏ” and praises her for her strength and resilience. Although the partner’s face was not clearly visible in the video, viewers could sense the deep affection between them. Wu addresses her partner as “anh” while the partner sweetly responds as “em.”
Wu Cát Tường shares that her partner always understands and supports her. When Wu hesitated about living true to herself, her partner encouraged her: “You have been very brave in choosing your path. Everything you do is well-thought-out, not impulsive. So, you don’t need to worry.”

At the end of March 2024, Wu Cát Tường excited fans when she posted a picture of intertwined hands with the caption “This day has finally arrived,” sparking rumors of an upcoming marriage.
However, Wu later clarified that this image was from the music video Từng là, where Thu Trang also participated. During the “Người bình thường” concert, the couple appeared affectionate on stage, thrilling the audience.
Though they have not officially announced their engagement, the couple often appears together at events and tea houses. Wu Cát Tường revealed that her partner actively learns how to cook vegetarian dishes and is always there to support and care for her. When asked about plans to move in together, Wu stated that she would announce when the time is right.
