Here are some free tools that allow users to easily check for any traffic fines on their vehicles using smartphones or computers.
Check for Traffic Fines Directly on the Traffic Police Website
To quickly check for any potential traffic fines incurred during your travels around Tet, you can access the website of the Traffic Police Department here.
Users can access the site from both computers and smartphones.
At the homepage, enter your vehicle’s license plate number, select the type of vehicle (car, motorcycle, electric bicycle), input the security code, and click “Search.”
Note: Enter the license plate number without any dots or dashes.
If the website returns “No results found!” it means your vehicle has not been fined.
Conversely, if your vehicle has been fined, the website will display detailed information about the violation, including the time, location, and whether the fine has been paid.
The website also provides contact information to help you resolve the issue and understand how to pay the fine.
Check for Traffic Fines Using the VNeTraffic App on Your Smartphone
VNeTraffic (Vietnamese Intelligent Traffic Application) is developed by Global Telecom & Technology Joint Stock Company (GTEL), under the authority of the Traffic Police Department.
This app allows users to check for traffic fines on their vehicles.
Additionally, VNeTraffic provides a list of hotlines for the Traffic Police Department and local police units. Users can call these numbers to report issues like faulty traffic signals or accidents.
VNeTraffic is available for both Android and iOS smartphones. Android users can download the app here, and iOS users can download it here.
After installing and activating the app, users tap “Sign In” to log in. If they don’t have an account, they can choose “Register,” then grant permission for the app to use the camera to scan QR codes for account registration.
Next, follow the app’s instructions: scan the QR code on your ID card, enter your phone number for verification, confirm the OTP sent to your phone, and set up a password for your VNeTraffic account.

Once registration and login are complete, the app will request additional permissions. You can either grant these permissions or skip them.
To check for traffic fines, tap “Check Violations” on the main screen, enter your vehicle’s license plate number, and click “Check.”

If the search results show “No traffic fines found for this license plate,” it means your vehicle has no outstanding fines.
If your vehicle has been fined, VNeTraffic will display details about the violation, including the location and whether the fine has been resolved.
