On February 9th, the Management Board of Transport Infrastructure Projects in Thanh Hoa organized the technical opening ceremony for two major highway projects: the Van Thien to Ben En road and the road connecting National Highway 1A with National Highway 45, from Hoang Kim commune (Hoang Hoa district) to Thieu Long commune (Thieu Hoa district).
According to the Management Board, the Van Thien to Ben En road project was approved with a total investment of 1.181 trillion VND, utilizing both central and provincial government budgets. The project includes the construction of over 12km of new road with a four-lane capacity, a 33m-wide road base, and the expropriation of more than 69 hectares of land affecting 822 households. The project began in August 2022 and is expected to be completed by January 2025.

The entire route has a 12m-wide road base, including six bridges, among which the Xuan Quang bridge spans 1,028m across the Ma River and the elevated bridge over the North-South Expressway East section is over 310m long. This project started in October 2022 and is scheduled for completion by January 2025.
Leaders from Thanh Hoa province stated that these projects will connect to the North-South Expressway East through the Van Thien interchange and the Thieu Giang interchange, contributing to the economic and social development of the regions and localities.

Meanwhile, the road connecting National Highway 1A with National Highway 45 will reduce travel time and alleviate traffic pressure on other national highways.
