The Ho Chi Minh City Food Safety Department announced this information on the evening of October 5.
Previously, on October 22, the Food Safety Authority (Ministry of Health) issued Official Letter No. 2119/ATTP-NĐTT regarding coordinated inspection and supervision of food products, which included information about certain weight loss products advertised on social media by an individual known as “Ngan Collagen”.
Based on the aforementioned Official Letter, functional agencies are currently conducting inspections and verifying the production, business, and advertising activities of various products.
Therefore, to protect public health, the Ho Chi Minh City Food Safety Department recommends that consumers do not purchase or use related weight loss products – especially those advertised by individuals on social media or with unverified origins – while awaiting the completion of inspections and verifications by functional agencies.
These products include: N – Collagen Chanh Plus, N – Collagen Đông trùng hạ thảo tổ yến Plus+, Kẹo táo thải mỡ bụng (or “Kẹo táo”, with Hoang Chau Pharma Co., Ltd. written on the product packaging).

Earlier, the Ho Chi Minh City Food Safety Department sent a team to inspect the company of “Ngan Collagen” in District 8 (old), now Phu Dinh Ward (HCMC).
However, at that time, the company had ceased operations, making it impossible to inspect or take samples of the products for testing.
Currently, functional agencies are continuing to review whether the company’s products are still distributed in the market, as well as if there are any other operating locations.
Since May, the Food Safety Authority reported that through post-inspection of food product declarations and advertisements, the agency discovered that some products of N – Collagen Import-Export Co., Ltd. (address at 28 Lo B Street, Phu Dinh River Port Resettlement Area, Ward 16, old District 8, HCMC) advertised by “Ngan Collagen” violated regulations.
Specifically, two products, “Kẹo táo thải mỡ bụng” and “N – Collagen Chanh Plus”, were advertised in a way that caused misunderstanding about their effects, promoting them as if they were medicines. The labels of these two products online indicated they were dietary supplements.
The Food Safety Authority stated: “On the online public service software, we have not issued a Certificate of Receipt for Product Declaration Registration and a Certificate of Advertising Content Confirmation for products named ‘Kẹo táo thải mỡ bụng’ and N – Collagen Chanh Plus.”
Through review, the management agency discovered that the two aforementioned products are exclusively distributed by N – Collagen Import-Export Co., Ltd., with the companies in Hanoi responsible for product quality and distribution.
