Traffic Flow Management in Hanoi for “Ruc Rot Thang Long” Art Program During Tet

On January 24th, the Traffic Police of Hanoi announced plans to manage traffic flow and ensure public order and safety during the “Ruc Rot Thang Long” art program, which will take place on February 26th and 28th in Nam Tu Liem district.

Time and Restricted Areas

Trucks and Buses Over 3.5 Tons Prohibited

During the periods from 1 PM on February 26th (27th day of Tet) to 1 AM on February 27th (28th day of Tet) and from 5 PM on February 28th (29th day of Tet) to 1 AM on February 29th (New Year’s Day), trucks over 3.5 tons and buses with 16 seats or more (except priority vehicles, program service vehicles, and buses) will be prohibited from traveling on the following roads:

  • Me Tri, Chau Van Lien, Le Quang Dao, Le Duc Tho, Hong Do, Vuon Cam, Tan My, Tan An Binh, My Dinh 2, Do Xuan Hop, Nguyen Co Thach, Trinh Van Bo, Tran Huu Duct, Ham Nghi, Nguyen Hoang, Nguyen Van Gia, K2.

All Vehicles Prohibited

During the periods from 5 PM on February 26th (27th day of Tet) to 1 AM on February 27th (28th day of Tet) and from 5 PM on February 28th (29th day of Tet) to 1 AM on February 29th (New Year’s Day), all vehicles (except priority vehicles and program service vehicles) will be prohibited from traveling on these roads:

  • Le Quang Dao (from Tan My to Me Tri),
  • Le Duc Tho (from Tan My to Tran Huu Duct),
  • Tan My, Hong Do, Tan An Binh, Vuon Cam, Do Xuan Hop, Nguyen Van Gia, K2.

Alternative Routes

To minimize the impact of road closures, authorities have suggested alternative routes for affected vehicles:

  • From Western districts to central city districts (Hoan Kiem, Hai Ba Trung, Ba Dinh, Dong Da): Follow National Highway 32 to Route 70 or Ly Thuong Kiet Avenue – Tran Duy Hung to enter the city center.
  • From central city districts to Western districts: Go through Xuan Thuy, Ho Tung Mau, or Pham Hung – Ly Thuong Kiet Avenue – Route 70 – National Highway 32 or from Pham Hung – Ly Thuong Kiet Avenue – National Highway 21A.
  • From Northern districts (Bac Tu Liem, Dong Anh, Me Linh, Soc Son) to Southern districts (Hoang Mai, Thanh Tri, Thuan Tin, Phu Xuyen): Travel via Pham Van Dong – Pham Hung – Ring Road 3 and vice versa.

Requirements for Drivers

The Traffic Police of Hanoi urges all drivers to strictly adhere to the Road Traffic Law and follow instructions from traffic authorities. This ensures safety and order during the art program.
