After a 1-3 opening match defeat to U17 Zambia, U17 Indonesia faced their ultimate challenge against U17 Brazil. The Southeast Asian team could not create an upset against such a strong opponent. After 90 minutes, they suffered a resounding 0-4 loss.

In this match, U17 Brazil created pressure right after the opening whistle. In just the 3rd minute, Dudu scored with a powerful header, giving the Seleção an early lead. In the 32nd minute, U17 Brazil doubled their lead. Kayke Ayrton’s shot deflected off an Indonesian player and found the back of the net.
Just 6 minutes later, Felipe Morais unleashed a beautiful diagonal shot, extending U17 Brazil’s lead to 3-0. In the second half, U17 Indonesia pushed forward, trying to find a goal, but without success. Furthermore, they conceded another goal in the 74th minute from Ruan Pablo.
With two consecutive wins, U17 Brazil and U17 Zambia have secured their tickets to the next round in Group H. Meanwhile, U17 Indonesia still has a chance, as 8 of the 12 best third-placed teams will advance. In the final match, they are forced to fight for survival against U17 Honduras to compete for third place.
Meanwhile, U17 DPR Korea caused a sensation by holding reigning champions U17 Germany to a 1-1 draw. U17 DPR Korea played better than their opponents in the first half. They nearly scored when Kim Se Ung’s header hit the U17 Germany post.

In the second half, U17 Germany gradually regained control of the match. In the 62nd minute, the European representatives scored the opening goal with a decisive shot from Wisdom Mike. However, U17 DPR Korea did not surrender easily. In the 81st minute, Han Il Bok fired a stunning shot into the top corner of the U17 Germany goal, leveling the score at 1-1.
With 4 points after two matches, U17 DPR Korea currently leads Group G, two points ahead of U17 Germany and U17 Colombia. The Asian team has a strong chance to advance, needing only a draw against U17 Colombia in the final match to secure their spot.
Other Asian representatives also had promising results. U17 South Korea and U17 Japan (both with 4 points after two matches) hold a significant advantage in the race to advance. Meanwhile, U17 Uzbekistan (3 points) will face U17 Ireland today, while U17 Tajikistan and U17 Saudi Arabia both need to put in more effort after their opening match defeats.
