On April 26th, actor Quý Bình’s ashes were ceremonially scattered at Cần Giờ Beach in Ho Chi Minh City, attended by family, colleagues, and numerous fans.
Actress Cát Tường shared with Dân trí that family members arrived at Đức Quang Temple (District 4, Ho Chi Minh City) around 7 AM for a prayer service before the cremation ceremony. The late actor’s mother and wife, Ngọc Tiền, carried his ashes, departing the temple amidst the emotional farewell.
Around 7:30 AM, a procession carrying Quý Bình’s ashes, along with family and friends, traveled to Cần Giờ Beach.
According to Cát Tường, over 200 fans, who had pre-registered, joined the family in the ceremony. Transport was provided by the family, including vehicles and boats, to take attendees to the beach for the ceremony.
Besides Cát Tường, notable attendees included actress Lê Phương and her husband Trung Kiên, actress Vân Trang, and Trương Nam Thành and his wife.
Lê Phương, who shared a close relationship with Quý Bình, dressed in a simple black outfit and carried a purple bouquet of flowers, observing the ceremony with solemnity.
Actress Cát Tường expressed profound emotion, “I have countless, indescribable feelings. Today, I spent five hours reminiscing about our lovely memories. Farewell, Quý Bình. Please keep your warm smile in our hearts.”
Actress Vân Trang shared a touching farewell message through a photo of herself holding a white flower by the beach, writing, “Crying because of missing you, crying because I’m afraid I’ll forget you.”
Trương Nam Thành, a close colleague, wrote, “During the early stages of my career, you were the one who gently guided me. Now, at the end of your journey, my wife and I, along with everyone who loves you, say our final farewell.”
Several other actors attended the 49-day memorial service prior and did not attend the scattering ceremony.
Around noon, the ash scattering ceremony was completed. The procession returned to the city center.
According to Quý Bình’s brother, Trí, the late actor wished for a quiet funeral and for his ashes to be scattered at Cần Giờ Beach. This location held special significance for him, as he had served in the border guard there when he was 18, and it was where his acting career began.
