On February 12th, the Director of An Giang Provincial Police signed a decision to discipline Major Tran Tan Tai by removing him from his position as Deputy Chief of Tan Chau City Police.
This is the latest action following allegations made by Mr. T.H.D. (Long Xuyen City) that Major Tran Tan Tai had an inappropriate relationship with Mrs. N.T.M.D., who is married to Mr. D.
Previously, the Tan Chau City Party Committee’s Standing Board announced and decided to escalate the disciplinary action against Major Tran Tan Tai, a member of the Tan Chau City Police Party Committee (term 2020-2025) and Deputy Chief of Tan Chau City Police, from a warning to removal from his position.
According to the Tan Chau City Party Committee’s Standing Board, Major Tran Tan Tai, in his role and position, failed to maintain proper self-discipline and ethical standards, resulting in serious violations. These actions have caused negative public opinion among officers and party members, damaging his personal reputation as well as the prestige of the Party organization and the police unit.
