The art event celebrating Tet Year of the Dragon 2025 on Phung Hung Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, has created a unique cultural space where tradition meets contemporary creativity. This highlight of the year’s Tet festivities has drawn considerable attention from both residents and tourists.

Unique Design Concepts
Inspired by the Ouroboros serpent—symbolizing cycles, rebirth, and the connection between past and present—the project integrates this iconic image into its overall design. Architects skillfully weave this motif to tell a story of continuity and the preservation of traditional values.
At the intersections of Phung Hung – Hang Loc and Phung Hung – Le Van Linh, ornate gateways have been erected, seamlessly blending traditional folk art patterns. These elements not only celebrate the beauty of Vietnamese culture but also create an impressive decorative space.
Key Feature: Restored Vintage Train Carriages
One of the most striking highlights of the event is the restoration of three vintage train carriages from the 1970s, emblematic of Hanoi’s history. These carriages not only bring back familiar images from the capital city’s memories but also offer a nostalgic perspective on the interplay between modernity and tradition.
The restored train scene serves as a metaphor for the “train of time,” transporting us back to the past where cherished traditions and heritage are preserved.

Vibrant Tet Atmosphere
Along Phung Hung Street, the traditional Tet atmosphere is recreated through vibrant flower markets featuring a variety of colors. Visitors can find traditional products such as peach blossoms, apricot blossoms, bonsai trees, and festive decorations. These stalls contribute to a warm and familiar springtime ambiance while helping younger generations understand the cultural beauty of their ancestors.
Meaningful Message
The art project at Phung Hung Street goes beyond mere decoration; it conveys a profound message about valuing, preserving, and promoting traditional cultural values. It provides an opportunity for the community to immerse themselves in the artistic environment, reminisce about past Tet celebrations, and rekindle national pride.
Art activities on Phung Hung Street will continue until February 6 (the 28th day of the lunar month), promising exciting and meaningful experiences for everyone.
