At the WEF in Switzerland, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính participated in the session titled “ASEAN: Connecting to Go Further.” He highlighted that ASEAN is poised to become a global growth leader in the smart era.

International speakers praised ASEAN’s potential, particularly the creativity and entrepreneurship of its young generation, expected to lead the region into the future. Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim emphasized three key priorities for ASEAN’s 2025 chairmanship: green energy, artificial intelligence, and climate change adaptation.

  3. Culture: Unity in diversity, fostering ASEAN identity while preserving each member country’s distinctiveness.
  4. Environment: Sustainable exploitation and use of resources, protecting the environment for future generations.
  5. Society: Ensuring social progress and fairness, inclusive development without leaving anyone behind.
  6. Technology: Significant investment in ICT infrastructure and high-quality human resources.

Vietnam’s Development Strategy

To drive development in the smart era, Vietnam has prioritized three strategic areas:

  • Institutional Framework: Enacting Resolution 57 and related laws to establish legal frameworks for science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
  • Infrastructure: Developing ICT infrastructure, especially digital data platforms, as the foundation for growth.
  • Human Resources: Focusing on training high-quality labor forces in emerging industries such as green transition, digitalization, and knowledge-based economy.

International Cooperation and Solutions for Myanmar
