The Bình Định province is preparing to construct a new provincial museum with a total investment of 700 billion VND. This project necessitates the relocation of the current Provincial Labor House located at 86 Lê Duẩn Street, Quy Nhơn City. Preparations for this relocation are accelerating.

Relocation Rationale and Project Scope

Following a decision by the Deputy Chairman of the Bình Định Provincial People’s Committee, the relocation of the Labor House is essential to clear the land for the provincial museum project, situated at 86 Lê Duẩn Street. Approved by Resolution 87 of the Provincial People’s Council, the Bình Định Provincial Museum project boasts a substantial investment of 700 billion VND and is projected to be completed within four years (2024-2028).

Relocation Procedures and Compensation

The Quy Nhơn City People’s Committee, collaborating with the provincial Labor Federation and relevant agencies, will lead the land acquisition process at 86 Lê Duẩn Street, adhering to legal regulations. The Provincial Project Management Board for Transportation and Civil Engineering projects will promptly finalize compensation procedures and land clearance for affected residents.

Essential procedures include reviewing and completing documentation, coordinating with the Ministry of Finance to propose compensation funding, and demolishing assets permanently attached to the land. Collaboration with relevant agencies ensures transparency and efficiency throughout the process.

New Location for the Labor House

The provincial Labor House will be relocated to 2 Phan Đình Phùng Street, Quy Nhơn City. This new location will enable the Labor House to continue its operations. The Ministry of Finance, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the provincial Labor Federation, and related agencies, will examine the temporary transfer of the old Provincial Cultural Center headquarters at 2 Phan Đình Phùng Street to the Labor House for management and use.

Renovation Funding

The provincial Labor Federation will proactively prepare a detailed budget for renovating and upgrading the new Labor House premises at the new location, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and avoiding wasteful expenditure, using compensation funds from the land acquisition at 86 Lê Duẩn Street.

Conclusion

The large-scale Bình Định Provincial Museum project will contribute to the development of local culture and history. The relocation of the Labor House is being implemented according to established procedures, transparently, and with a commitment to safeguarding residents’ rights.
