Fortunately, there were no casualties, but both vehicles sustained significant damage. The Traffic Safety Committee stated that at the time of the accident, there were no passengers on the sleeper bus, only the driver and the assistant.
The preliminary cause was determined to be the bus driver’s failure to maintain a safe distance, leading to the collision with the vehicle ahead.
Earlier, on the morning of February 8th, another severe accident occurred when driver Pham Quoc Huy (40 years old) was driving a Tan Kim Chi bus on National Highway 1 near Song Cau City, Phu Yen Province.
