Car Driving Against Traffic Causes Congestion, Reported by Citizens

On February 14, the Traffic Police – Order Team of Nha Trang City Police Department announced that they had issued an administrative violation record against Mr. V.T.T.C. (42 years old, residing in Nha Trang City) for driving a car in the wrong lane.

According to Decree 168, the act of driving a car in the incorrect lane (against traffic) is subject to a fine ranging from 4 to 6 million Vietnamese dong and results in a deduction of 2 points from the driver’s license.

Previously, citizens sent images to the Traffic Police Department of Khánh Hòa Province’s Police showing a car driving against traffic on Cao Bá Quát Street (Nha Trang City), causing congestion and posing risks to oncoming vehicles and pedestrians.

The Traffic Police Department forwarded the report and images to the Traffic Police – Order Team of Nha Trang City Police for verification and handling within their jurisdiction.

Upon investigation, the Traffic Police – Order Team confirmed that Mr. C. was the driver who drove against traffic on Cao Bá Quát Street on the evening of February 12.

During questioning by the police, Mr. C. admitted to his traffic violation.
