Da Nang City Police has announced the dissolution of its district and ward police units, and the subsequent reassignment of duties to four new regional zones. This change takes effect March 1st.
Reasons for Dissolution and Reassignment
The Ministry of Public Security has decided to dissolve the district and ward-level police units under the Da Nang City Police Department. This measure aims to optimize management, streamline personnel allocation, and enhance public safety efforts across the city.
The functions and responsibilities of the former district and ward police units will now be handled directly by the Da Nang City Police Department. A detailed implementation plan, including evaluation criteria and specific assignments for ward-level police, will be released following the establishment of the new organizational structure and guidance from the Ministry of Public Security.
New Regional Zones and Jurisdictions
To maintain continuity in operations, Da Nang City Police has divided the city into four new regions, which do not correspond to existing administrative boundaries. Each region encompasses a specific number of wards and communes.
- Zone 1 (Hai Chau District): Manages 9 wards/communes: Hai Chau, Thuan Phuoc, Thanh Binh, Phuoc Ninh, Thach Thang, Binh Thuan, Hoa Cuong Bac, Hoa Cuong Nam, Hoa Thuan Tay.
- Zone 2 (Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son Districts): Manages 10 wards/communes: An Hai Nam, An Hai Bac, Man Thai, Tho Quang, Nai Hien Dong, Phuoc My, My An, Khue My, Hoa Hai, Hoa Quy.
- Zone 3 (Cam Le and Thanh Khe Districts): Manages 12 wards/communes: Hoa Phat, Hoa An, Hoa Tho Tay, Hoa Tho Dong, Hoa Xuan, Khue Trung, An Khe, Thanh Khe Dong, Thanh Khe Tay, Xuan Ha, Chinh Gian, Thac Gian.
- Zone 4 (Lien Chieu and Hoa Vang Districts): Manages 16 wards/communes: Hoa Minh, Hoa Khanh Nam, Hoa Khanh Bac, Hoa Hiep Nam, Hoa Hiep Bac, Hoa Chau, Hoa Tien, Hoa Phuoc, Hoa Khuong, Hoa Nhon, Hoa Phong, Hoa Phu, Hoa Ninh, Hoa Son, Hoa Lien, Hoa Bac.
New Police Stations
Da Nang City Police has established 7 new regional police stations in the newly formed zones. Key stations are located in Hai Chau, Son Tra, Ngu Hanh Son, Cam Le, Thanh Khe, Lien Chieu, and Hoa Vang districts.
Effective Date and Implementation
The dissolution and reassignment decisions are effective from March 1st. The Da Nang City Police is committed to ensuring smooth transitions and maintaining uninterrupted public safety coverage during the reorganization.
