On February 8 at noon, the Traffic Police Department of Phu Yen Provincial Police reported on a severe traffic accident that occurred on National Highway 1 near Song Cau City (Phu Yen Province) early that morning, resulting in three deaths.
According to the report, immediately after the accident, the Investigation Agency of Song Cau City Police conducted rapid tests for drugs and alcohol on Mr. Pham Quoc Huy, the bus driver. The results showed that the driver had no alcohol in his system and tested negative for drugs.

Police concluded that the cause of the accident was the bus veering off course and colliding with the median strip.
According to the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, the accident resulted in 29 casualties, including 3 fatalities, 7 seriously injured, and 19 with minor injuries such as sprains and fractures.

当天早上5点30分,事故现场的巴士被拖离。
遇难者的身份为:Đỗ Thị Kim Chi(34岁,居住在林同省),Trần Công Anh(24岁,居住在岘港市),Trần Thị Song Thương(22岁,居住在广南省)。
