The medical team performed CPR and then transferred Mr. H. to the Cardiac Intervention Center for further treatment. They conducted a right coronary artery intervention, provided intensive care, used anticoagulant and antiplatelet medications, among other treatments.

According to Dr. Tran Quynh An, Head of the Emergency Department and Director of the Cardiac Intervention Center at the hospital, this was a severe case of myocardial infarction, complicated by respiratory and circulatory arrest.
Myocardial infarction is the leading cause of death if not treated promptly. It typically presents with sudden symptoms such as severe chest pain, shortness of breath, sweating, nausea, or loss of consciousness, etc.
“When encountering these signs, patients should seek immediate medical attention at facilities equipped with adequate resources for timely diagnosis and treatment,” Dr. An advised.
