On April 23rd, a representative from the Tây Bắc Nghệ An Regional General Hospital reported that patient L.T.C. (72, from Tam Hợp village, Quỳ Hợp district, Nghệ An), is recovering after 15 days of treatment. She continues to receive care at the Cardiology and Geriatrics Department.
Previously, Ms. C. was admitted to the Emergency Room in a confused state, exhibiting rapid pulse, low blood pressure, shortness of breath, chest and abdominal pain, and extensive bruising across her body.

According to her family, Ms. C. was attacked and trampled by a runaway deer, resulting in significant injuries. Doctors diagnosed her with multiple trauma, 14 fractured ribs, a blood clot, and a lung injury.
Hospital leadership initiated a multidisciplinary consultation led by Dr. Lê Giang Nam, with close collaboration between departments to provide intensive resuscitation and treatment.
“This is a particularly complex case involving an elderly patient with severe multiple injuries. Successfully saving her demonstrates the expertise and effective teamwork between departments and medical staff within the hospital,” shared a hospital representative.
