He shared that this night brought him many special emotions. With his guitar, Tran Tien performed iconic compositions such as Mat troi be con, Ra ngo tung kinh, and Phieu bat, while also sharing fascinating stories about the creation of these songs. Notably, he revealed memorable moments with his dear friend, composer Trinh Cong Son.
According to Tran Tien, before passing away, Trinh Cong Son had asked composer Bao Phuc to arrange and produce some songs he wrote for Trinh Cong Son. However, this plan was never realized due to Trinh Cong Son’s untimely death. Later, Bao Phuc met Tran Tien and reminded him of the “order” from the late composer. Tran Tien decided to bring these works to the public himself, seeing it as a tribute to his brotherly friend.
“A cowboy dies on horseback, and a musician is happiest dying by his instrument. One day, I too will pass, but I believe music will live on in the hearts of my audience,” Tran Tien shared.
He emphasized that while art can generate income, its most important role is to connect with the community and spread positive values.
