On February 12, in Hanoi, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghi, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, chaired a working meeting with relevant agencies and units regarding the parade and march plan for the 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day, and the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Vietnam Independence Day.
At the meeting, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghi emphasized the need for proactive coordination among agencies and units to develop logistical and technical plans, as well as rigorous training. He stressed that no accidents or errors should occur, ensuring absolute safety.
The Deputy Chief of the General Staff underscored the significant importance of the parade and march, which affirm the grandeur and historical value of the August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

According to Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghi, the commemoration is also an opportunity to promote and educate about the nationalistic tradition and express deep gratitude to the generations who sacrificed their lives for the national liberation cause, the construction, and the defense of the country.
Regarding the implementation of the parade and march tasks, following the directives from the General Staff, the Training Department has coordinated with relevant agencies and units to ensure timely progress according to the plan. The assigned units have organized forces and conducted strict and serious training, currently focusing on block integration exercises.
