Mỗi trang sách phải là một "hàng rào tư tưởng”

On December 1st, in Hanoi, the National Political Publishing House Truth held a ceremony to celebrate its 80th Traditional Day (December 5, 1945 – December 5, 2025) and to receive the First-class Labor Order.

On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam sent a congratulatory letter and flowers; former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man attended. President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and Permanent Member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu sent congratulatory flower baskets.

In his congratulatory letter, General Secretary To Lam acknowledged that the National Political Publishing House Truth has affirmed and commendably promoted its position and role as the theoretical and political publishing agency of the Party and State.

The books and collections published by the Publishing House have significantly contributed to the cause of national liberation, construction, and defense, while also serving the comprehensive renovation of the country.

On behalf of the Party and State, General Secretary To Lam acknowledged, commended, and highly appreciated the immense and outstanding efforts and achievements made by generations of cadres, Party members, public employees, and workers of the National Political Publishing House Truth over the past 80 years.

Delivering a guiding speech at the ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed that the National Political Publishing House Truth has continuously developed, deserving its reputation as a reliable address and a core theoretical and political book publishing agency of the Party and State; absolutely loyal to the Party, Fatherland, and People; united, creative, constantly innovating, and successfully completing all assigned tasks.

The Publishing House has consistently affirmed its pioneering role on the ideological and theoretical front, contributing to protecting the Party’s ideological foundation.

Through its system of publications, specialized topics, forums, seminars, scientific workshops, and propaganda activities, the Publishing House has proactively shaped public opinion, defended the correctness, revolutionary, and scientific nature of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought, and successfully countered attempts to distort and deny the Party’s leadership role and undermine the great national unity bloc.

The National Assembly Chairman requested the Publishing House to continue strongly innovating its editing, publishing, and distribution work, ensuring standardization, scientific rigor, and modernity while remaining accessible and easy to understand, so that political theory books “enter daily life” and become essential documents for cadres, Party members, and the people.

He emphasized the need to elevate scientific research, considering it a pillar alongside editing and publishing work. Research must be linked to practical reviews to promptly address new and complex theoretical issues arising; simultaneously creating works that directly contribute to the development of the Party’s theory.

Particularly, the National Assembly Chairman also called for building the Publishing House into a model of Party building and Party culture. The staff must possess courage, a spirit of service, steadfastness, and exemplary conduct in words and actions; prioritizing the interests of the Party, State, and people above all else.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man stated: “Our pens are not just for presenting views, but also for fighting, defending the Party, defending the regime, and protecting the ideological foundation of the Vietnamese revolution against all sabotage and distortion attempts by hostile and reactionary forces.

Every page of a book must be an ‘ideological rampart,’ every work must be a ‘theoretical fortress,’ convincing through knowledge, science, reason, and truth.”

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Vu Trong Lam – Secretary of the Party Committee, Director, and Editor-in-Chief – reflected on the 80-year journey of construction and development of the Publishing House.

He emphasized that the Publishing House has not only left its mark in the history of Vietnamese revolutionary publishing but has also become inseparable from the ideological history of the Party and the nation, making significant contributions to shaping the ideological and theoretical foundation, defining the system of spiritual values, and consolidating social trust in the path of national development chosen by our Party, Uncle Ho, and the people.

The Publishing House has edited and published many important and valuable publications, promptly serving political tasks, with many publications having profound theoretical and practical significance. It has also constantly innovated content and publishing methods, promoted technology application, and improved the quality of political theory books.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man presented the First-class Labor Order to the National Political Publishing House Truth.
