The Hanoi Social Insurance Department has recently received reports from citizens and workers about fake official dispatches purportedly issued by the department.
The fraudulent document, titled “Notice of Social Insurance Arrears Payment,” was allegedly signed by Mr. Dang Dinh Thuan, former Deputy Director of Hanoi Social Insurance, on February 5.
The department has informed workers and residents in the area to safeguard their personal information and assets to avoid being exploited or scammed.
Accordingly, neither the Hanoi Social Insurance Department nor its district-level branches have issued any official dispatches with such content or format. Mr. Dang Dinh Thuan, former Deputy Director of Hanoi Social Insurance, retired in 2022.

If there are any questions or clarifications needed, individuals, beneficiaries of social insurance or health insurance policies, workers, or residents are advised to contact the Hanoi Social Insurance Department, district-level offices, or the customer service hotline of Vietnam Social Insurance for support.
To avoid scams, workers and residents should regularly update themselves on social insurance and health insurance laws and policies through official channels of the Social Insurance sector.
Additionally, workers should stay informed about scam methods and tactics reported by authorities via mass media; carefully review and verify before conducting online transactions (avoid adding strangers on Zalo, clicking suspicious links, or sharing OTPs or personal passwords…).
