On February 9, Hoa Hiep Nam Border Station, under the Quang Ngai Border Guard Force, announced that a foreign fishing vessel had drifted into local waters.
According to reports, at 4:30 PM on February 8, Hoa Hiep Nam Border Station received information from local residents about a foreign fishing vessel drifting into Dong Hoa City’s waters in Phu Yen Province. There were four crew members on board.

Border guards and local residents worked together to safely tow the vessel to shore. The crew members were taken to the border station for accommodation, and their health is currently stable.
Upon inspection, it was determined that this is a Taiwanese fishing vessel engaged in trawling operations. It encountered difficulties at sea on February 6. The crew consists of three Taiwanese nationals and one Vietnamese worker.
Hoa Hiep Nam Border Station is cooperating with relevant authorities to process necessary procedures according to regulations.
