Before starting his performance, G-Dragon sent a moving message to the Vietnamese audience, expressing sympathy for the damage caused by floods: “My deepest condolences to all those affected. I pray for daily life to return to normal and for wounded hearts to heal soon. Wishing everyone safety and good health, and my sincere thanks to those working hard to overcome the consequences.”
This message deeply moved the audience present at the November 8 show, especially at a time when Central Vietnam was severely affected by natural disasters.
Before Vietnam, G-Dragon’s Übermensch global tour had sold out in many countries including Japan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, France, the US, and Australia.
According to the Korean newspaper Money Today, the Ocean City concert attracted approximately 50,000 spectators – an impressive number for an international artist’s performance in Vietnam.

G-Dragon (born 1988) is a leading music and fashion icon in South Korea. He debuted in 2006 as the leader of BIGBANG, then achieved significant success as a solo artist.
In late October, he was awarded the Korean Cultural Medal for his contributions to promoting Hallyu (the Korean Wave).
The artist was also appointed as an Ambassador for the APEC 2025 Summit and was the only K-pop artist to perform at the reception for leaders of the 21 member economies.
Sharing about his career path, G-Dragon said: “Before, I was always obsessed with perfection. Now, I have found a balance between work and life, and I have more freedom.”
When asked about his view on what makes a true artist, the “King of K-pop” stated: “Ultimately, whether you are good or not, if you are going to do something, first, you must do it right. What I have lost over the past 10 years is time, but I have also become wiser. Currently, I want to prepare for a new beginning.”
After the global tour, G-Dragon will join the BIGBANG members to prepare for the group’s 20th-anniversary event. This is a significant milestone for one of the most successful boy groups in K-pop history.
