At the 935th Air Regiment (Bien Hoa, Dong Nai), General Nguyễn Tân Cương, Chief of Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Minister of National Defence, was present to inspect and direct the final rehearsal for the parade commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and Reunification of Vietnam (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025).
This was the final combined rehearsal for units at the 935th Air Regiment before the grand parade on Lê Duẩn Street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) on the evenings of April 18th.
Thirty-eight units participated in the rehearsal, including 25 army and people’s militia units, and 13 police units. Lieutenant General Nguyễn Văn Nghĩa, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and head of the parade committee, oversaw the rehearsal directly.
This final rehearsal was held to evaluate the training’s effectiveness, learn from any mistakes, and ensure the best possible performance for the 50th anniversary celebrations.
Around 6:00 AM, units assembled for the rehearsal, enthusiastically practicing their drills. The rehearsal commenced at 8:00 AM. Opening the ceremony were Mi-8 and Mi-17 helicopters carrying the Party flag and national flag flying over the reviewing stand. Sophisticated maneuvers of the SU-30MK2 fighter jets drew admiration as they flew over the reviewing stand.
The rehearsal followed the same script as the planned parade on Lê Duẩn Street on April 30th.

The female special forces unit, comprised of 100 soldiers, participated with modern equipment and weaponry.
Despite the intense heat, soldiers practiced with high focus and determination.
Following the final rehearsal, General Nguyễn Tân Cương commended the soldiers for their excellent parade performance. Their determination and enthusiasm were evident. He encouraged everyone to continue practicing to perfect their performances.
The General also expressed that the entire nation eagerly awaits the upcoming parade on April 30th.
Following today’s rehearsal, units will continue their rehearsals on Lê Duẩn Street, District 1, on April 18th and 22nd.
