On January 28 (the 29th day of the last lunar month), at Firework Launching Site No. 6 on Dua Island in Thong Nhat Park (Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi), authorities were actively installing fireworks to prepare for New Year’s Eve. This site is one of the largest high-altitude firework launching locations in Hanoi during the Tet holiday in 2025.
Careful Preparation for New Year’s Eve
Fencing has been set up to ensure safety during the installation and launch of the fireworks. Officers and soldiers from the Hai Ba Trung District Military Command, along with local militia forces and reinforcements from the Capital Command, have been present to carry out their duties.
600 High-Altitude Fireworks Combined with 90 Low-Altitude Firework Barrels
The Dua Island site will feature 600 high-altitude fireworks alongside 90 low-altitude firework barrels. The high-altitude shells are loaded into metal launch tubes of varying diameters to accommodate different types of fireworks.
Precise Firework Script Down to the Second
The firework script has been finalized, ensuring that each moment of the display is accurate down to the second. Electrical fuse wires connecting the fireworks to control panels have been carefully installed, along with securing the launch tubes with iron clamps and ropes.
Ensuring Absolute Safety
Emergency medical and firefighting vehicles have been stationed in the launch area to guarantee the safety of both the public and the personnel involved. The low-altitude firework barrels are securely fastened with wooden braces and positioned separately.
30 Firework Launch Sites Across the City
For the Tet holiday in 2025, Hanoi will organize a total of 30 firework launch sites across 31 locations. Among these, 10 sites will feature high-altitude fireworks combined with low-altitude displays, while 21 sites will have only low-altitude fireworks.
